Grant decided I needed to take a pic of him like this. So here it is, it's kinda funny. He's eating lasagna and heaven help me I've had to change his shirt like five times. It's clean here, and this was like half and hour ago. It's totally dirty now. Oh and also I saw Borat. Really gross, we fast forwarded parts but also really funny. In the beginning when the chicken gets out of the suitcase on the subway I was laughing so hard.

Easter Egg Hunt
Here are some pics of Grant Easter Egg Hunting at my mom's house. It was so cold outside but he bundled up and found some eggs, it was cute. Once he realized that there was candy in the egg he got really excited. My brother in law andrew is getting married soon. So there is a bachelorette party I'm going to in a few weeks that I'm excited for. Thier wedding will be here before we know it, and I'm looking forward to that as well. I think it will be a lot of fun. I get to dress up at least! I turn 27 on Tues. which is CRAZY but ah well, it'll be good. Me and my friend Julie have decided when we turn thirty we are going on a trip together. Kinda to lessen the blow I guess. So that's something to look forward too. So April and May are kinda going to be about Loo and Andrew's wedding. Then late in May I'm going to see my friend Allison which I am excited for.

My Neighbors
Okay so this is kinda funny. We have neighbors whose names are Lee and Lisa. They are in thier forties with no kids and two cats. So they moved in (next door) in the fall a few years ago and that following summer they went to TOWN on thier lawn. I am talking flowers and trees and building things like birdhouses and fences and arches over thier sidewalks okay. And we live in a trailer park which makes this all the more funny to me. So they were out there EVERY night watering and pruning and planting and weeding. They would sit out on thier deck late at night talking about thier backyard plans. Where they would plant this or what that rose bush was doing. I remember one night they SERIOUSLY had a full blown discussion about why a rose had died.
So anyways, the following summer (last summer) was the complete opposite. Things were dying and there lawn looked like ours (bad) and there were weeds everywhere and they were never out there. It was weird. Then towards the end of the summer the wife decided they needed some dirt. I never even knew there were dirt people who would deliver dirt to your yard but there are. So they had a MOUND of dirt on thier driveway for a good three months at least. And the husband yelled at the wife over this a fair amount. This mound was as tall as a car and about half as short. So it was hilarious. If history repeats I think this summer there lawn will be immaculate again. I wait in anticipation for lee and lisa's antics.

Five Years of Wedded Bliss!
Today is our five year anniversary!!! Yeah! We went out to dinner while my mom watched the baby who is a little sick still so we went somewhere close by. It was fun! I have started reading the Zodiac book by Robert Graysmith. It's really good so far.

Purse Party
Last night I helped out with my mom's friend Corrine. She has her own business where she has a ton of purses that are replicas of all the super expensive ones like Prada, Coach, etc. So anyways I helped out at this one in Novi yesterday and it went really well. I really like her daughter and plus it's just nice to get out among other grown-ups sometimes. :) There was this old lady there who was just kinda parked at the dining room table. It was funny cause people kept asking her if she wanted food and she'd say no but then they'd put food in front of her anyways. So by the end of the night she had like five plates of food and then a raffle ticket in front of her. I thought it was kinda funny. Me and Grant went to the mall today which is always a good time. I am doing another purse party on April 22nd which anyone reading this is invited too. It's in my subdivision (mobile home community??) at our clubhouse from 1-5. Actually it is going to be really nice there will be a massuse (sp?) and Arbonne skin care, makeup , candles. It should be really nice. So yeah that is coming up in April along with my birthday. I'm going to be 27 and that makes me feel so old. 30, that's going to be nutso.

My mom is funny
So yesterday at dinner with my grandpa my mom was talking about women from her old youth group who she gets together with once a year. She was saying how it's hard to get everyone to open up. So I said she should have someone selling sex toys there (THIS IS A JOKE !!) And she was like "oh no , these are all missionary women". What she meant by this was these are WIVES of MISSIONARIES, but you can imagine my confusion at the time.

Lovin The Weather
So I'm loving the weather today. It's awesome. The snow is pretty and all. I was just hoping to take G to a park or something. I am just so sick of the rapid weather changes. Enough already.

Judy Is Coming
Well today I have to clean the whole house while me and Grant are both sick. I also have to fix all that stuff that you ignore and never get to for like three years. Why you ask?? Because tommorow our real estate agent is coming to look over our house and see what she thinks we can get for it. A lot of the work is already done due to my adorable in laws, thank the Lord. But there are still boxes to be shoved in closets and dirt to be vaccummed up and things to be shoved under beds. Ahhh yes. You are jealous of my wild life. Nick asked me yesterday if I thought she could come over in a couple hours. This was at ten AM or so and the house was a wreck and I was still in my jammies. That was a funny moment.

Good Times bein Sick
So while we were in GR for Nick's brother's fiancee's bridal shower Nick got sick. Then Grant got sick and has been sick for like five days. Now of course I am sick. Oh well. I guess we are due. Since I'm not in school anymore I really hardly ever get sick. I hope you all are enjoying my new blog thing. I watched Grey's Anatomy last night (we have TiVo even though we shouldn't cause we pooor). It was interesting that Izzy hooked up with George. Wierd. I guess they have to have someone being the resident ho and since Meredith is being monogamous now then someone has to be the ho. Ah that's my life philosophy. Someones gotta be the ho.

Our Life
Our life right now is pretty much all about working and Grant. Nick works seven days a week at both Marriott and Dominoes so we are pretty tired most of the time.
I feel like I am getting so old and I'm not sure I'm dealing with it very well. I can't believe I'm going to be 27! When is the mid-life crisis supposed to happen? Like forty or fifty right? So yeah I guess I'm early. I run a lot which is nice. I never have ran consistently before and I really enjoy it. It is extremely hard but good for me and I like how it makes me feel throughout the day.
Grant is doing very well he is two and a half now and talking and running around non-stop all day. Everyone says the threes are terrible so I'm trying to enjoy things now. He has an extremely cool personality and that is amazing to watch. He is funny and smart and extremely intense and it's so nice to be able to talk to him now and tell him what's going on and hear what his thoughts are.
Nick is doing well, he is working at the RenCen downtown now. It is a lot more chaotic there but he likes it. He is in Revenue Management, which I barely understand so I'm not going to try and explain it. We really like the company though and grateful that God blessed us with that job. He loves playing with Grant and thier relationship is so much better now. I think when Grant was just a baby he felt left out and like Grant didn't even like him. But now they have thier own little thing worked out and it's really cool. Nick is looking forward to selling the trailer, and he is doing good, just busy and tierd.
We are trying to get to church more. With grant and nick working so much it's hard but I'm trying. So yeah this winter has been really hard because of the fact that it is my first time staying at home full time during the winter. IT IS HORRIBLE! It's you and the baby and you and the baby and then later on it's you and the baby. I think when it's spring or summer or even fall and you can go outside for a walk or to the park for even an hour it helps SO much. Just to feel like you are out among people. I have tried the mall and some indoor playplaces but it's not the same. You just feel so isolated and glumy when it's Jan and Feb. I'm glad they are over and SO thankful that spring is coming.
I have been reading a lot lately. Currently I am reading Patricia Cornwell's Body of Evidence. I have been watching Lost lately but I'm not that impressed. They just keep adding more storylines and never resolving a thing. Hello? The whole reason people loved that show was the mystery and action. They have taken out all the mystery and replaced it with confusion. The flashbacks used to be very interesting and made you understand the character and thier motivations better and now they are just filler pretty much. ALSO they used to have some episodes that were all on the island, the whole episode was them on the island. Haven't seen one of those in awhile.
Sorry if this is random!

Today Of All Days
Today is good, I suppose since the house is standing. I am however in my jammies, with my son in HIS jammies, listening to what I am sure is him spilling oatmeal all over the floor. It has a very distinct sound.
We are looking to sell our trailer and move into an apt. Good times. It will be nice not to have a lawn to mow or walk to shovel. We are doing good, Nicks bro is getting married in May which I am looking forward to. I am sure Nick is looking forward to seeing me in a dress. Oooo fancy. He probably won't even recognize me. I went out to lunch with my friend from childhood, Julie, she's adorable. I'll post more later, this is just to give you a taste!
